Native to the desert regions of Mexico, the Ferocactus histrix is known for its striking shape. This cactus is recognizable by its long, robust, and curved spines, often yellow to reddish in color, which densely cover its prominent ribs. The spines are an adaptation to arid environments, protecting the plant from predators and helping to capture moisture.
